A modern society where beastfolk surpass humans in physical ability, lifespan, and social power. Humans, meanwhile, make up only a tiny fraction of the population and are legally classified as a "protected species."
Humans cannot live alone or hold jobs, and may only participate in society under a beastfolk guardian. Harming a human is a serious felony—but a human's right to make their own choices is limited, too.

A government-certified program in which a state agency matches beastfolk diagnosed with psychological burnout with a human partner.
